TRANSOM ROW

Inspired by the coast.

Jack King is a coastal artist working in charcoal and watercolor, creating pieces inspired by life on and around the water.

Based between Bald Head Island, North Carolina, and Northern Virginia, his work is rooted in observation: marsh grass moving with the tide, weather rolling across the harbor, and the worn character of old boathouses and working waterfronts. His style focuses less on perfect composition and more on capturing how a place actually feels.

Jack is a rising senior in High School. He spends much of his time on Bald Head Island, and much of his perspective comes from time spent outdoors on the beach, in the marsh, and in the water. That connection shapes both his subject matter and his approach to creating.

He also co-founded BHI Fishing Co. with his brother Pax, a coastal brand focused on teaching people how to fish and simplifying the gear needed to get started. That same mindset-keeping things simple, functional, and authentic-carries into his work as an artist.
